The fountain of colour

I ended a photo walk early as I had to be up early for a long long days work. The last place I ended up before swiftly jumping on a bus to Victoria station was Marble Arch. This fountain is next to the arch put there by Westminster council to attract visitors to the area. It is a fantastic place to be at night with people travelling on Boris bikes (on drunken adventures) to come and see it.

The fountain changed colour during my long exposure from blue to pink. In post production, I merged the two colours together bringing out the best of both. It creates something that the eye could only dream os seeing when you are actually there. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Leading to the Mayor

I took many photos on this purple night but I felt weird trying to take this photo with a couple getting cosy on the steps. You might ask “why didn’t you wait until they were gone?” I tried! I went around taking loads in the area and an hour later I got back to this spot and they were still there.

Other then that moment London was kind to me that night.

Purple Haze

I went out in London to take photos at night but was worried that the sunset wouldn’t be good enough for some good photos. Just as the sun was dipping below the horizon, a purple tone came out.

I was planning to take some photos of the surrounding area but there was a photographic installation all along the Thames by the Mayors office. I spent an hour of sunset time looking around and if you get a chance I suggest that you do too.

The (new) Lonely Lavender tree.

Another photo that I recently redone. The original was one of my favorite ever photos that I had processed but I couldn’t wait to re-process the image. I could never get rid of the halo around the tree but this time I think I just about done it. I love the purples of the lavender also.

The Magic by Night.

Walking out on deck 10 is so peaceful at night. No children running around and only Mickey to keep you company. This is looking out over the Mickey children’s pool. Disney has some great colours!

One of my first multiple exposure HDR attempts. Before this I only used 1 exposure. I used a Nikon D40x and it had no auto bracketing feature. I cranked out the tripod and gave it a go. How I have moved on.
