Through the Structure
A week ago I posted a picture of the tall wheel that was at the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, London over christmas. This is the same wheel but taken from the bottom of the structure. Its great that you can see the structure through the movement of the wheel. I added some photo tools filters to my photoshop edit to give it a more grungy look.
This week has been great for me. A new job up London will allow me to get out and around taken lots of photos. After I settle in there I will go out about twice a week. My photo valet is getting bare so I need to take some decent photos that I am happy with.
Stairs to St Paul’s
I haven’t been back to visit the protesters at St Paul’s recently but I hear that they had to get rid of a few tents although I’m sure that it didn’t have much effect on their spirit. This was taken a while back on a photo walk before the protesters took camp at the bottom of these steps. Only 4 days to christmas everyone. I should now start to buy some presents. Oxford street is mad at the run up to christmas so I am going to try and avoid it at all costs.
The just discovered glass sculpture.
While walking along the Thames, we took a slight detour around the back of the Royal Festival Hall near the Haywood Gallery. I was with two others and we each looked at each other and thought the same. How long has this been here? None of us had ever noticed it before but were all uncertain that we hadn’t seen it before.
On a closer inspection we found a plaque that I think said that it was put up for the 2011 design festival but my memory could serve me wrong. What ever it for for, it certainly was a photographers paradise; offering us reflections and lots of great architectural angles of the one sculpture.
HELLO!!!
Ok so after all my travels I am finally back home and it feels so good. After saying hello to a few friends I got straight down to sorting out all of my photos into lightroom, finding out that I had to buy a new 3tb hard drive in the process.
I have taken so many images that i didn’t know how to even start processing them or in what order. I decided to do it in some order and take you though what I done, place by place.
I am starting off with the hotel I stayed in, in Miami. I went there for training for the cruise ships. I stayed at the Hilton Homewood and was lucky enough to meet some good friends there. You can see most of them sitting around the pool as we done most nights.
