Reflection in the Orb

The strange egg shaped orb should be familiar to anyone who follows this blog or lives in and around London. It is of course the mayors office located next to Tower Bridge that also can be seen in the photo.

Its great that we get sunny days in London but I wish (like all photographers) that I had the power to call in clouds when I like. The great thing about being in London all the time is that you get many opportunities for different moods of the same scene.

Have a good weekend and I’ll be back on MOnday.

Does someone Segest a show?

My cleaver title is meant to tell you where this photo was taken…. no really you didn’t get it from that? Well its an amphitheatre in……. Segesta. NO I hadn’t heard of it either but it is a great place in Malta with 2 Greek ruins.

Positioned on Mount Barbaro, the archeological site, about seventy kilometers southwest of Palermo, reflects the presence of several ancient civilizations. The Elymians from Asia who settled in Greece in 1200BC.

I will post a picture of the temple at a later date. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

The Scoop

The Mayor’s office has always been an interesting building to me. Mainly because someone once described it to be as a sliced egg which now just stays in my mind. The tripod police came up to me shortly before taking this photo saying that I’m not allowed to take pictures. Try telling that to all of the tourists around me snapping away. I thought it was because of my tripod that they stopped me but apparently it was only because I was taking pictures.

Anyway after I sneakily grabbed one more shot that turned out to be the best one of the area. You can see the men in blue coats by the entrance of the office. I might go back there with a bigger tripod just to annoy them at some point.
