Countdown

Well I still have a backlog of Christmas images to post so I hope you don’t mind but here is another. Ok it has another theme aswell. Now it is 2012 London is going on a massive high for the olympics, especially recently where tickets went up for sale for different events. Naturally none got what they wanted and no I didn’t get any but I will be in London this summer and perhaps will stalk the Olympic village for photos.

With the christmas tree in Trafalgar square was (and still is) the countdown clock to the olympics. You can work out when this photo was taken by looking at the countdown or you could cheat and look at the name of the photos, but thats no fun.

NFL in London

As some of you will know the NFL (National Football League) or as we call it, American Football, came to London recently. I was on a photowalk in London wanting to take photos of Trafalgar Square and to my surprise it was sectioned off and had a special NFL event on. We talked are way in (it wasn’t hard as entry was free but they didn’t like our camera stuff) and after they discovered that we didnt have anything to hide after searching my bad throughly, were let in. I have never seen the square so busy. I was handed a cardboard chair wondering why such an item had been given to me.

People were gathered infront of a big tv screen and I soon found out that it was the classic ‘Jerry Maguire’ playing in a typical american fashion. I didnt stay there long but I managed to grab this photo of the Chicago Bears mascot by the fountain.

For those of you that want to know the score was Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-18 Chicago Bears

The final shot I am going to show you. I dont want to ruin the timelapse by showing you all too much.

I have a little more to do but hopefully it will be finished soon.

This part of the video looks really good. the moon appears from behind the clouds and the fountains move in the wind.

Another one of the new art installation in Trafalgar Square. For all of you who said that its never sunny here, this is proof. I think i actually got  a little sun burnt. A great day

Nelsons Victory- This is the latest art installation in Trafalgar Square that occupies the plinth set for projects. It’s a replica of Lord Nelson’s ship Victory aptly placed by his memorial. It is the work of Yinka Shonibare put in the perfect setting for 18 months.
